Vibration Isolation Bearings

Structural anti-vibration bearings prevent seismic vibration and/or provide acoustic isolation. The bearings are individually engineered from laminates of rubber with steel reinforcing plates.

The rubber compound, the number of plates and the distance between them are all precisely calculated to meet a particular specification.

To prevent damage from earthquakes our bearings are for example used in at the 911 Emergency Operations Centre in San Francisco, USA.

The acoustic bearings are used to prevent noise transmission and vibration when a building is close or even built over a subway or trainline. Our reference list is extensive and includes prestiguous objects such as the Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, USA and the Symphony Hall in Birmingham, UK.
